Critical Capture, Round Two: Sign ups  



In the grand scheme of things, capturing a moment is much like capturing a Pokemon — it takes a lot of effort and patience. Sometimes, you get lucky; most of the time, you don’t. So you wait for that magical moment and watch as the ball twitches, rolling over to either side thrice until the shaking stops.

In the same way, capturing Pokemon is much like waiting for a Suho/Chen moment to happen — it’s painstakingly difficult. And frustrating. But rewarding, just the same.

Presenting: Critical Capture, a Suho/Chen fanfiction exchange.


What is CRITICAL CAPTURE?
[livejournal.com profile] criticalcapture is a Suho/Chen (hereunto referred to as SuChen) fanfic exchange. The goal is to produce more SuChen fics so that we’ll have more material to cry over. Got it? Great.

How does it work? We will be collecting sign ups from interested parties (writers will sign up using the form below and comment with those information). After this, we will pair up the particpants based on what they wrote in their sign up sheet. Keep in mind to list everything that you won’t be willing to read or write in order to avoid receiving a prompt you wouldn’t want to work on.

Since this is an exchange, we are discouraging people from dropping out. Remember: you are writing for someone.



Professor Oak, what are the RULES?
1. Given that this is a Suho/Chen exchange, you may only focus on Suho/Chen. Side pairings are fine, but the fic should revolve around their relationship.
2. The minimum word count is 1500 words. Exceeding the minimum is always encouraged, though.
3. Please do not drop out OR discuss your assignment in public. We will hunt you down, we swear.
4. Give prompts that are not too limiting. Below are examples of a good and a bad prompt:
GOOD PROMPT: Fresh from resigning from a corporate post, Joonmyun decides to pursue his passion for fashion as a career. Jongdae thinks it’s probably a bad idea. (You provided a general idea of how the plot should be fleshed out.)
BAD PROMPT: Joonmyun quits his corporate job because he can’t stand his father anymore. He decides to go take on a job in a fashion magazine where he meets Jongdae who has been in the company for two years already. Kris, the big boss, pairs them up for a big project and the two have no choice but to get along with each other. Jongdae tries to sabotage Joonmyun’s work but ends up being drawn to Joonmyun, instead. (This is too limiting; you've already dictated the flow of the story.)
BAD PROMPT #2: Joonmyun quits his job and meets Jongdae somewhere along the way. (Too vague.)
